Studio or Location

Based at Chenies, there is a wealth of photographic opportunities, from swirling autumn leaves, through the brittle days of winter, to the burst of colour in the bluebell woods and the warm iridescent brightness of spring. Every month of the year gives abundant scope for stunning photography that will literally be treasured for a lifetime.

If you prefer, we can shoot in our studio, with a choice of backgrounds and creative lighting we can make some stunning photographs.

You will likely be with us for about one hour. We will never rush you as we will always want to create the best images for you.

positive review  Andrew was brilliant with my daughter who was 4 months old, the whole experience was very relaxed and easy. The images he captured were fantastic! We will be returning in the future and I would highly recommend .

5 star review  Delighted with our family photos. There were 15 of us to photo in various groupings on the day - Andrew was brilliant, so calm and patient organising us all, and his attention to detail has resulted in fantastic pictures. We've had photos done by Andrew previously, and will definitely be back again in the future.

positive review  Andrew captured our dog perfectly - not an easy task with an over-excitable border terrier who refuses to sit still! The photos from our shoot are fantastic quality and make us smile every time we look at them. A lovely, relaxed, but professional experience. Thank you!

Frequently asked questions.

What should we wear?

This is a question we are often asked and this is mostly about common sense. If dad is wearing a suit and mum is in jeans with a tee shirt this of course would look strange.

Our suggestion would be to bring a change of clothes, and to avoid wearing strongly patterned clothing, or any articles with prominent logos, as these will date quickly in appearance.

We suggest that you wear loose, comfortable clothes, as the aim is to have you moving about and having fun!

White tee shirts and blue jeans are a great choice for children, though you may also like to bring another outfit a little bit more formal.

Some children like to have a favourite toy, or you may wish to bring sunglasses, baseball caps, or some other prop that you would like included.

If you are a large family group, perhaps two or more generations, please try to ensure that everyone dresses in a broadly similar style and level of formality. Necklines are important and a scoop or vee neck is best if the subject has a fuller face. A high-necked blouse, shirt or sweater is more flattering if the neck is long, and the face slender.

Ladies should generally avoid sleeveless tops as the skin on the arms is often lighter and can draw the focus away from the face.

When will I be able to view the photographs?

We know you are excited to see their pictures, so we arrange a viewing usually one or two weeks after the session at the studio.

If you want to bring your extended family, e.g. grandparents, we would love to meet them.

Can we include Grandparents and our pets?

Yes, they would be very welcome and can in some of the photographs complete the family group.

If you would like to include them, please let us know beforehand.

How do we book?

All of our sessions are by appointment. You can book online by selecting date and time in the Appointment calendar above.

Our contact details where you will find our address, email, phone number and social media details, all of which are great ways to discuss your upcoming portrait session.

How long are the family portrait sessions?

We will never rush you and always ensure we create beautiful images of your family.

As a guide for families up to seven people, the sessions are around one hour. Whereas for larger groups they can take about two hours.
